Transitioning to Motherhood

Transitioning into motherhood can be both beautiful and challenging. Many women experience self‑doubt, judgment, and the constant pressure of wondering whether they’re doing the “right” thing—all while juggling the everyday demands of life.

This 6‑week group is designed to bring women together for connection, support, and shared understanding. Whether you gave birth, adopted, are currently pregnant, or are preparing for adoption, this space is for you. Together, we’ll focus on practicing self‑care, quieting self‑doubt, and learning to be more present so you can savor the small moments instead of getting lost in the “what‑ifs.”

The Transition to Motherhood group will contain a mixture of psychoeducation, group exercises, discussion, support, and self-reflection.

The following is how the Transition to Motherhood group is structured:

Week 1:  Identifying stressors of Motherhood.

Week 2:  We are what we think- Learn the Cognitive Behavioral Model and apply it to our stressors.

Week 3: Foundations of Survival- creating a foundation to be able to manage stressors.

Week 4: Being Present- Learn Mindfulness skills to be in the here and now.

Week 5: Putting it all together.

Week 6: Creating a support system and learn about Postpartum Mental Health.

The group will be on Tuesdays in-person at 1pm in Matthews, NC. and virtually Tuesdays at 6pm

Join us now to gain the support and confidence during the transition to Motherhood.
